Cowboys and Elliott Reunite after Yearlong Separation
Zeke Returns to Dallas After Stint with Patriots
Averaging Career-Low Yards per Game in 2023
The Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott have reunited after a yearlong separation, ensuring their divorce was short-lived. Elliott, who turns 29 in July, found himself without a team after being released by the Cowboys in March of 2023. He remained unsigned until training camp when he inked a one-year deal with the New England Patriots.
Elliott's time in New England was marked by a career-low average of 378 rushing yards per game. However, he finished with 642 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 184 carries, marking a slight improvement from his career-low 35 YPC in 2023.
Despite his struggles in the past year, Elliott remains a valuable asset to the Cowboys. With 12 rushing touchdowns in his final season with the team in 2022, he can provide a goal-line option for the team and help bolster their running game.
