LaMelo Ball's Triple-Double Leads the Way
BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to two games on Monday night, defeating the Charlotte Hornets 118-104 at the Spectrum Center. LaMelo Ball led the way for Boston with a triple-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
The Celtics controlled the game from the opening tip, taking an early lead and never looking back. They led by 10 points at halftime and extended their lead to 20 points in the third quarter. The Hornets were unable to mount a comeback, and the Celtics cruised to a comfortable victory.
In addition to Ball's triple-double, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum also had strong performances for the Celtics. Brown scored 25 points, while Tatum added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 20 points, while Gordon Hayward added 18 points.
With the win, the Celtics improve to 2-0 on the season. They will return to action on Wednesday night when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.
